Our Story
In 2016, our founder, JW Pierron, became growingly frustrated with the security industry. While access control technology advanced, the methods for managing it remained outdated, complex, and inefficient. Despite the clear need, innovation was lagging.
Driven to address this disconnect, JW partnered with Sam Scott, a friend and experienced software consultant. Together, they began Latitude Security Solutions, a company dedicated delivering modern security solutions as a service, and not merely a product.
In 2018, a seemingly simple question from an indoor playground client became the catalyst for Rhōmb's creation: "Could we use our access control system to actually sell playtime, and eliminate the need for our front desk?"
For the two natural problem-solvers, this was the challenge that set innovation in motion. Sam jumped straight into coding, and he came up with something pretty cool: a software solution that smoothly connects online sales with the ability to walk right in using access control. And that’s how Rhōmb was born.

We are a small, independently owned business based in Bedminster, NJ, fueled by an entrepreneurial drive, a dedication to hard work, and a belief in treating people well. When we're not behind our computers, you may find us out in the field, hands-on with access control installations. Other times, we’re at our office workbench, carefully assembling access control panels, a testament to our personalized approach.
Our office also enjoys the happy presence of our canine colleagues, so don’t be surprised if a a stray bark makes its way into a call.
